Gites

Comfortable modernised stone cottages.

Our two gîtes are side-by-side modernised stone cottages created from what was once the second farmhouse at 'Les Marronniers', and retain many period features, such as exposed timbers and stonework. A thick stone partition wall prevents any noise passing between them. Each has a character of its own, but both are set up for comfortable holiday living for a family of four, with electric radiator heating for off-season lets (but we have never used it between April and October).

Gite 1 has an open-plan kitchen with cosy rustic stone flooring, leading to a  sitting area and dining space ample for four. The WC and shower room is on the ground floor, and open-tread wooden stairs lead up to a double and a twin bedroom under the eaves. (A third single bed or a cot can fit in the twin without difficulty – please contact us if you want to bring an extra child at no additional cost).

In Gite 2 the WC and shower are in separate rooms on the upper floor, with a double and a twin bedroom. This leaves space for the downstairs living area to be a little more generous, giving on to the kitchen/dining area, with ceramic tiled floors throughout.

Each of the gites is fully equipped with a complete range of cleaning equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware, cooking utensils, gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and barbecue. (Washing machines have their own separate room in the next-door storage block, and are available free of charge.) There is satellite TV, DVD players, and free WiFi broadband access. There are outside tables, chairs and sunshades for alfresco dining on the sun terraces at the front of the building. “Eskimo” cold boxes and plastic glasses are also provided for picnic use, or in the pool area.

Bed linen is provided within the rental, and changed weekly - or more often on request at a nominal charge of €10 per person. Please bring your own towels. A hair drier is provided.
